Changes were afoot for the JMF, who were missing both Queen and talisman. A chance for the Righteous to break out their slump? Young Padawan, a late call up for an absent Shotgun, predicted a goalfest for himself, and straight from the outset, made good to fulfill his promise. He rattled in a hat trick, and before the first keeper change, the boys in white were five to the good. It was at this point the suspect MoFo temperament kicked in, and they ran up the white flag. Sure they scored a few, but the game was always in hand. Can the momentum be kept up? Once more the shirt lifters will be missing Jamon and Dead Eye, so a chance to narrow the lead should be there for the taking. And speaking of talisman, the Right Honourable Shouty has returned to the fold, so the teams should be getting back towards some form of parity.
Moment of Match
It is always hard to ignore a Big Phil the Octopus goal, and the one he scored on Wednesday was a peach, making his own son his bitch in the process. But King Daves goal keeping efforts won the day. A scuffed shot dribbled innocuously towards one of his trusty flippers. But he some how manged to totally miss it (something he never does with my shins) and get tangled up in the netting of the goals all in one seamless movement. He got so tangled up, it took a minute or two to free him.
