Olympic Effort Pays Off

Great news! My application for tickets to the Beach Volleyball at London 2012 have proved successful! So myself, Shouty, Crespo (aka Spoons), Sprocket, Downhill and the Major will be enjoying the view at the Royal Horse Guards Parade come next August. And yes, they are for the ladies, not the budgie smugglers. The hard part now is finding reasonably priced accommodation, which will probably prove more difficult than actually scoring the tickets. Looks like we will be going down on the Saturday, and back on the Monday, to try and keep costs down. Should be a hoot....

PC Still MIA

Apologies for the lack of action, post wise, on my blog. My desk top is still out of action, and I hate using the pissy little keyboard on the Elsters lap top. It is a shame as there has been plenty to post. The same goes for big Franks computer, which wouldn't let me post when I was Stateside. So June has been a fallow time only due to my lack of access to a decent computer. Going to give Geevers a gee up this weekend.....

Nearly Forgot

Just a quick update of the Wood standings. I was away for three weeks, and although the lads broke our losing streak, they still lost two out of three, so more ground was lost in the race to the title. Combine this with the total drubbing we received last Wednesday, and we are looking down the proverbial barrel. I should really write up some kind of match report, but I can't be arsed, as it's late, and I am using the Elsters note book, which I hate typing on. So here are the updated standings, and grim reading they make for the Righteous.

I can't be too upset mind, as I am also afflicted by chronic bone idleness. Back Home

I would love to say it's great to be back in the UK, but it's not. I do realise it will be in a week or so, but as always, the first day back at the grind stone tends to make one wish that your vacation would last forever. I was hoping to keep my regular perusers abreast of my shenanigans state side, but my Dads browser wouldn't allow me to, and I took the wrong camera lead with me, so I was unable to upload any kind of pictures. Combine this with the fact that my poorly computer is still being looked at by Geevers, leaves me posting off the Elsters notebook, which I am not allowed to stain with any off my cameras content, or my collection of arse shots. I am hoping to see Geevers tomorrow night, so I will be, fingers crossed, back up to speed in a few days. Depends on my one man IT departments procrastination levels. Speaking of which, I have just download angry birds on chrome, so I am off....... Will catch up tomorrow.

On the 21st of June the bundesliga fixture list is released. For the past few years we have been holding out for some luck concerning the date of the St Pauli game in Hamburg. Up till now we have been unlucky. Christmas time games and the small problem of them getting promoted have put the kybosch on our efforts. Having now visited most of the big teams that have played in the second tier, now would be the ideal time for us to have the game played late in 2012. If not, there is always Dusseldorf to fall back on, or even Munich itself. We shall see....
