Take, Take, Take.....
It's not just our pay packets that are trimmed. No. The few treats we enjoy are also spanked. Enjoy a tab? Pay up. A few pints over the weekend. Pay up. Fancy a drive to enjoy the country side? Pay up. And for what? These brilliant public services they are supposed to fund. Where are they? The town I live in, Bradford is getting a city centre park, that nobody wants, foisted upon it, at a cost of millions, yet schools throughout the district are starved of basic equipment. Our road tax and petrol duty are among the highest in Europe, yet they are continually choked with traffic, for road works that seem to have nobody working on them. The list is endless, but the question is: Why?
For years I was not sure of the answer, but I think I know it now. It's quite simple, they hate us. We are not wealthy enough them to be of any use, and the fact that we can vote them out of office infuriates them. Witness the expenses fiasco. Barely a handful have apologised, whilst the majority claim they have done no wrong, and attempt to thwart all attempts to make them repay their ill gotten gains. Now we are finding out about the fees charged for lobbying on the behalf of large corporations, whilst jetting around the globe on "Fact Finding" missions while hectoring us about the evils of our Carbon Footprint. And now that we all can see them for the conniving, self serving swine that they are, how do they get even? The Budget. So exactly how can we make them see that they work for us, and the other way around? Vote them out. I know mine is a small voice that will be lost in the cacophony of drivel about to be spouted in the run up to a general election, but I do have an idea. A pretty good one I think. If we were all to vote for anybody but the MP who currently holds their seat, we would end up with an entirely new body of representatives. It might not be the perfect solution, but it would oust every single one of the self serving wankers who currently sit. Maybe then, they get a taste of what it's like to make your way in the real world.

WTF are they on!!!!!
I usually hate abbreviated text, but after seeing this advert I have to say "WTF!" Never mind drugs, it appears we have been invaded by some kind of weird owl-human hybrid, who possess super sized saucer eyes! If I'd have been that copper I would have floored my fluorescent jam sandwich, and skedaddled in the opposite direction. Is'nt it typical of our Health Nazis to make such a hysterically funny/useless campaign about the dangers of driving whilst under the influence of an illegal narcotic? I have frequented many a rave /dance club/blues in my time, and I have NEVER come across a set of individuals who looked anything remotely like this cadre of freaks. I reckon I would have remembered, because I would have shit my pants!
Yet another chunk of my tax money, flushed down the toilet.
STOP THE NONSENSE!!
PS Follow this link, to see just how much brass was wasted on this nonsense, and the smug butt holes who seem to think it is the geatest thing since sliced tofu. Oh, they also reveal the computer generated graphics used to make the "Spooky" eyes, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of the clip.
PPS They would have got clean away if the dumb blonde in the back hadn't looked out the window.......

Storm in a Pint Pot

Who are these people? What is their purpose? And who the Hell pays for them? Seems we do! The latest case of "We know best" masquerading as the oldest of chestnuts, Health and Safety, have decided that pint glasses are far too dangerous. The Home Office, no less, has drafted in so lavishly remunerated no doubt, consultants to design a plastic vessel for drinking our beer out of in pubs. The excuse is a statistic that claims there are 87,000 violent incidents involving the glasses, that result in £100 million pounds being spent by the NHS. It appears our Government have declared war on the traditional pint pot.
But it got me thinking. Where the devil did they get their £100 million figure from? That means, on average, every glass wounding cost our health service £114.94. Seems rather a lot per wounding if you ask me. Does the 87,000 claimed assaults include those bottled outside pubs and clubs? Because a bottle is not a glass, is it? Or are we to get plastic bottles as well? How many of the perpetrators are sent to jail, or even caught and prosecuted? And just how likely are you to meet the jagged edge of a pint? It is estimated that there are 126,000,000 pints pulled every WEEK in Britain. That means there 6,552,000,000 pints served a year. Just over six and a half billion, give or take. By my reckoning, that means you have a 1 in 75,310 chance of being harmed, per beer you drink. Of course the odds drop considerably if you choose to drink in Lloyds Number One bar in Shipley town centre. But if that's where you decide to drink, then you pretty much deserve what's coming to you...
So too my mind, the numbers just don't add up. But then there is the taste. God knows a pint costs enough these days, but having to drink it out of a plastic beaker? We have all had to drink out of one before, at outdoor festivals, football grounds and the like, and it just doesn't taste the same. And I know it's not just me, have you ever heard anyone pipe up "Mmm, I sure wish my local would get rid of all their glasses and start using plastic one's"? Have you bolloxs. They are also less environmentally sound. Plastic takes decades, and in some cases centuries, to bio-degrade. But then there may be an ulterior motive for the push to outlaw the pint glass. Maybe they are hoping to eradicate all the injuries caused by spilt beer. Not slips and falls, but all the fights caused by the accidental knocking of strangers brews. If we had plastic containers, they could easily put lids on them. Like the Tommy Tippy ones loved by toddlers. They could even have those little clips inside, that regulate the amount of fluid that can be drunk in any one tipping action. Then at 9 o'clock they could send round a bearded, vegetarian, lesbian do gooder, to gently burp us, and send us home to bed. I should be careful what I post here, it may well give them ideas.
O it seems yet another simple pleasure is being targeted by the number crunchers in Westminster. Instead of punishing the Neanderthal dim wits who can't handle their booze, it is instead the law abiding millions that will have yet anther freedom eroded. They don't even consider what the clowns will use on each other instead. Will all stools and seating need to be clamped to the floor? Or will they gather up loads of the plastic cups, ram them together, and form a rudimentary club? I tell ya, if it wasn't for the tax revenues, they would ban alcohol in a heart beat....

Watch Out! Jaqui is About.....
This will no doubt cost tens of billions of pounds to create and run, and by sticking all this info in one easy to get at location, will make the work of the ne'er do wells who want to exploit such details, just that bit easier. Let's be honest, my record of keeping my personal details is much better than Jaqui Smith and her cronies. I have managed not lose mine once, where the record of New Labour is checkered to say the least. But my biggest worry is what will eventually happen to all these records, kept in some faceless building, in some faceless town. Of course they say they have no interest in using it for anything at the moment, but how long will that last? Will they be able to stop themselves from selling it off to some marketing company or similar business? I doubt it. The DVLA have sold off some your private info in the past, and with public coffers emptier than masturbators sac, the temptation, I reckon, will sooner or later prove irresistible. Tyhe sooner we are rid of these wasters the better.

How to Beat the Credit Crunch
If you think this is far fetched nonsense, think again, as I introduce you to the grazing herd that is the Chawner family. Mum, Dad and their two daughters weigh in at a combined 83 stones, and apart from the youngest sibling, don't do a days worth of graft. Combined benefits? £22,508 a year. But hang on a minute. According to chief Weeble, Phillip Chawner, this is not enough! I quote from the big fella;"What we get barely covers the bills and puts food on the table. It's not our fault we can't work. We deserve more."
You have to the geezer some credit for front. Judging by the combined girth on show I would say there is too much money for grub. So for those of you hard working responsible eaters out there, I give you a new role model. Heaven help us all. Catch the full story here.
I have copied this tale from the Stop the Nonsense!! website.

The Week in Nonsense
On to some quality grade A, uncut Colombian pure nonsense now. Some geezer called Lord Turner, the chairman of the Committee on Climate Change, has put forward an idea that we should all be limited too 2 "social" flights a year. We would no doubt be given rationing books, put on a government data base, costing something like a gazillion pounds, to make sure the great unwashed couldn't get away from this country more than once a year. I believe they are piloting a similar scheme in North Korea.
Lastly this week a story picked up from Australia, that ties in with the Carrol Thatcher gaffe from earlier in the week, concerning everybody's favourite rabble rouser Jeremy Clarkson. There have been calls for him to be sacked from the BBC for stating that Gordon Brown was a "One eyed, Scottish Idiot." This of course offended the partially sighted, people north of the border and just about every Labour politician you could shake a stake at. There is only one problem. Mr Brown is indeed one eyed. He does in fact hail from North of the English border, and is without a question of a doubt a bona fida buffoon. To be offended by Mr Claksons comment is akin to being offended by calling Jezza a balding, English blow hard. To all those who disagree, grow up.
I hope to resurrect this thread on a weekly basis, as these difficult times to be gravy days for the supposed great and good to spout their stupidity. Feel Free to check out our fledgling political arm, Stop the Nonsense at http://www.stopthenonsense.org.uk/

Public Info Ad's '70s Style
As you know, myself and G-spot have been trying to get the Stop the Nonsense site up and running over the past few months, and I have now moved all my rants and commentary on the state of how our nation is governed to this website. I am to commit at least one article a week to it and would be grateful if all the regular readers of this blog would take a look and let me know what you think. The site can be found by clicking here;
http://stopthenonsense.org.uk/
I know you are wondering what this has to do with the video posted above, but I have just sat up for an hour or so, compiling an article, some would say a tirade, against the hectoring, immature nature of our modern day public service advertising. Stuff like the Frank drug adverts featuring Pablo, and the never ending stream of commercials imploring us to quit smoking, drink less and lose weight. So I thought it might be cool to contrast this with the way it was done when we were kids. I still get the creeps every time I see Jimmy Saville, and I sure as Hell clunk click. I know you younger pups will have no idea, but for those of a certain age age, enjoy.

Had to Pass Comment
'Talk to Frank' - Pablo The Drug Mule Dog anti-cocaine advert
I'll wager my left testicle, that this will have no effect at all. In fact quite the opposite. The message I took away from this was that if you snort Charles, it makes you think stuffed animals can speak, and are very droll and dead pan at that.

Stop The Nonsense??
But even with all he financial woes going on, it is grand too know the nonsense brigade continue on their merry, liberal way, heads fully ensconced up their rectums. Examples? The headmaster, who decide to have his teachers annual training course not in the school, nor even the local council district. Nope, he decided that the whole United Kingdom was not a morale boosting enough destination, and decided that blowing around £20,000 worth of council tax money on shipping off to the sunny shores of Marbella in Spain. He claimed it was better value for money. So it was cheaper than having it in a ready made class environment, namely his own school? What a feckin' idiot! My last training course at my place of employment was in a half empty warehouse on an industrial estate in the sunny climes of Barnsley. But hey, I don't work for in the public sector, so my gaffer doesn't have the luxury of rinsing the local population. Sticking with our educators comes the news that another school has decided to drop spelling tests as they were causing some children "unnecessary distress" and give the one's that weren't the sharpest a "sense of failure." So what does she think they should do? Nothing? The mind boggles, that people who are so obviously unfit to hold such positions of responsibility are allowed to do so.
Lastly this week comes the news that not content with bombarding us with rhetoric and constant adverts telling us how we should live our lives, and then taxing the arse off anything that we might actually enjoy doing, that the our beloved government is now contemplating spending £12 billion, setting up a database to monitor every phone call, e-mail and website visited by the people of the United Kingdom. Add to this the ID Card that they would so love to introduce, and you have to wonder just what these buffoons are up to. Free country?? For how long...

Stop the Nonsense
- The German government is pushing to outlaw the small plastic toys found in Kinder Surprise eggs, and boxes of cereals. This is for the safety, of course, of the poor little kiddies, who might swallow them. Have they never seen the plastic egg the toy comes in Kinder eggs? I have seen smaller vibrating love eggs. Then there is the interesting statistic of not one single bambino ever actually swallowing said toy. Ha ha, I hear you laugh, it iz ze silly Krauts, not us, but with us being in the EU it can surely only be a matter of time but this ludicrous piece of legislation becomes a law throughout Europe.
- Those annoying fucking adverts, telling us that kids copy all their parents bad habits. You must have seen them? The one with the adults having a crafty fag, and at the end little Johnny picks up a crayon and pretend to have puff on it? Or the radio ad, that makes out when we cross the road using our mobiles, that little Janey will do the same and get knocked over? What complete and utter bolloxs! I love broccoli, and make a point of eating it all up, with relish, at the dinner table. Do my kids follow suit? Hell no! They would rather munch on a fried dog turd than eat this healthy vegetable. Brushing teeth, not peeing on the toilet seat, tidying up after myself and wearing fresh underpants every day are just some of the many examples I try to set that my little ragamuffins pay no heed to, yet according to this government propaganda, it should be second nature to them by now. Utter tosh.
- The dick head Tory MP, who reckons teenage pregnancy is down to publications such as Heat and Nuts, filling their pages with semi-naked women, that make our spotty little Lotharios think of the opposite sex as little more than sexual playthings. Number one, the little tarts could always try going on the pill, or, heaven forbid, say no. Number two, how many of the underage/late teenage mothers do you see pushing prams around your way, resemble in any shape or form, the seriously hot chicks depicted in the publications mentioned above? None, that's how many. The miracle for me, is the fact that anybody could sustain an erection long enough to impregnate these apprentice heifers.
- I actually thought one of them was going to speak some sense the other day. He said fat folk should start to shoulder some of the responsibility for, to put it bluntly, being porkers. Hear, hear said I, thinking finally, some semblance of sense was to be spoken by a politician. But then he began to drone on about how policies needed to be put into place, and folk needed educating, blah, blah, blah. The point is not people being fat, as far as I am concerned it is their God given right to eat themselves into an early grave, so what. As for education, who doesn't know that a super size MaccyD meal every meal time is bad for you? That guzzling litre after litre of fizzy pop is going to turn your arse to lard? Nobody, thats who. And the argument that it costs the economy several billions of pounds doesn't was either. According to the busybody do gooders traffic costs billions, as does smoking, beer, lead swingers, train delays, gambling, over filling bins and on and on. The question is, Does the economy actually make any money then? Not according to these people. Oh, and by the way, did you notice the only vice they skirt around? The one that is with a doubt the least healthiest, and cost no doubt billions as well? Still not got it? It's the only one that's illegal. That's right drugs. Heroin, Crack, Coke, and the rest. No we can't point out that these knob heads are in anyway to blame for the predicament they find themselves in. It's disease you know.

Stop The Nonsense
There that feels much better. Back to the "Stop the Nonsense". I appreciate that we all are busy trying to make ends meet at the moment, and are also planning or enjoying holidays as we speak, but lets not let our campaign die. Check in on the forum once in a while, that can be found by clicking here. Don't be shy about posting a comment, it can be about anything, from whats twisting your testicles in politics to your favourite McFlurry combination (the McMunchie rules!) It speaks volumes that the most active topic is currently our Quest for the Holy Meatball. Tell your mates, have some fun, that what it is all about, whilst we make our feelings felt about the waste and stupidity of the ruling classes. i am also going to start up a Facebook group, and once Xmas is out of the way, we can start to raise funds to get the Right Honourable Shouty elected to raise hell!!

The Week in Nonsense
John Prescott has come out saying he has suffered from bulima for the past 10 years. Is that why he claimed so much money for food on expenses? Had to eat double portions did he? Surprised me anyway. Always thought it was shit coming out of his mouth.
Isn't it great to see those poor old banks getting bailed out of the credit crunch by the Bank of England. Those lovely institutions that charge £20 for letters telling you that you are skint. For cranking up your interest payments, seemingly at a whim, when you are struggling to pay off credit cards. Letting you go ridiculously overdrawn, and then charging you for the privilege. Wouldn't it be dandy to have a business making untold billions, get too greedy, lose all that lovely lucre, and have somebody say "Don't worry, I will loan you a load of other peoples brass, so you don't go out of business." Let's wait and see what kind of bonus they then award themselves for being so incompetent. Looks like we get to foot the bill again.
Lastly, if you an believe it, is this one from Nottinghamshire. Their idea to combat hospital superbugs? Cardboard nurses. Thats right, cardboard nurses. Apparently, as you stroll past, a voice activation unit reminds passerby's to wash their hands. Unbelievable.

The Week in Nonsense
Health and safety gone crazy. Prince William completed some kind of military thing this week, and was awarded a medal of description from his dad. But no longer does the proud recipient of such medals have it pinned to his chest. No, in our risk adverse universe it was velcroed to his uniform. Wouldn't want anybody pricking their finger now would we? Someone who could have probably done with a bit of risk assessment was the unfortunate Giuseppina Pasqualino di Marineo, 33, known as Pippa Bacca. In an attempt to show she could put her trust in people, she decided to hitch hike from Milan to Lebanon dressed in a wedding dress. Alas, for our liberal thinking heroine she was found murdered in Turkey.
This week, instead of the usual waste of money spot, I would like to mention a true hero. Dot Reid is a 58 year old Grandmother who lives on Merseyside. Her problem is that Tescos and Everton Football Club want to bulldoze her house to replace the magnificent Goodison Park, with some anti septic all seater stadium, that will share a site with a brand new Tesco supermarket. The houses are to be demolished under a compulsory purchase order, so in retaliation she has applied to tear down Sir Terry Leahy's mansion in Hertfordshire. Give the greedy fucker a taste of his own medicine. Read the article posted on the BBC here.
